Area Director for Italy and member of the “Management petit Committee” of the Melia brand, gathering the International corporate team of Melia Hotels International, a leader Hotel Company in the tourism industry and absolute leader on the Spanish market with more than 350 hotels in 30 countries, 4 continents and with more than 25.000 employees.
Besides supervising and coordinating the properties located in Italy – with special delegation powers for development, I’m a member and treasurer for the AICA (Associazione Italiana Catene Alberghiere, i.e. the Italian Association of Hotel Chains) Board of directors, as well as member of the board of Federturismo (the Hotel Industry Federation) and responsible delegate for Expo 2015 in the Lazio region. “Knight of the Italian Republic” since 2005, I was appointed “Commendatore” in 2010.
As for education and training, I obtained the You Manager Certification Level 2 in 2012; in 2011 I performed the Corporate Management Program at the École Hotelière in Lausanne; in 2007 I attended the “General Management Program” and the “Professional Development Program” at the Cornell University in the U.S.A. As guest, as well as lecturer, I took part in forums and seminars held in prestigious Universities, both in Italy and abroad.
Well acknowledged financial and sales knowledge, balanced scorecard together with excellent understanding of operations, customized service and development of new business opportunities on the 4-star market as well on the luxury one, acquired throughout the years in major hotel chains such as TCI, Jolly Hotels, Villa D’Este and Melia Hotel International.
