She began her career in Mercedes in 2002, holding various important roles in the areas of training and development with a special focus on change management and international projects.

Daniela is the first female Head of Human Resources at Mercedes-Benz and is currently involved in a deep cultural organizational change: an easy revolution, a new mindset that encompasses everything and everyone.

Her challenging role is to put people at the centre using new innovative concepts such as Positive Organisations and the Science of Happiness, Smart working and flexibility, People Care and Wellness.

Donatella’s informal style and her typically female determination that she defines as “gender advantage” support her in all her ambitious projects and vision.

She began her career in Fox in November 2007 as HR Director Fox International Channels Italy and dealt primarily with administration, legal, recruitment and development, internal communication, evaluation processes, salary policies logistics and procurement.

From 2003 until 2007, she held the role of Head of Internal Communication and Change Management in development Italia (Ministry of Development). Her role was to define objectives, strategies, change processes and tools. She designed and developed internal communication channels redefining the internal company identity.

From 1999 to 2003 she worked as a consultant for Accenture in the area of Human Resources, optimising processes and developing indicators for measuring efficiency and effectiveness in HR and project management.

In 1997 she became Assistant Product Manager in Nestlé and a year later progressed to Junior Product Manager of the Brand Baci (Marketing) dealing with all areas of product marketing.

Her first working experience took place in Ford Group as an HR Specialist, in recruitment, evaluation, contracts and quality certification.

Born in Rome and a graduate in Political Science, Donatella also obtained a Master’s in International Relations at Luiss University, Rome. She has also studied abroad, in Belgium where she received a diploma from the Liceo Internazionale.

In 2017, she became Head of Learnability and Development Europe Manpower Group. Her main responsibilities involved developing training strategies and programs in certain specific region.

She initially worked in the area of training and development in Gruppo La Rinascente, where she carried out an international role followed by an experience in Bank of America and Banca D’Italia (Deutsche Bank Group) as head of Management Training Retail.

She then became part of Gruppo Pirelli where she managed international training projects, internal communication and management development. She has also held several roles as a function manager and HR Manager of various Business Units of the Group.

Since 2011, she has been the global head of Corporate Learning, Engagement and Welfare and in 2018 she also became responsible for Development.

Not only has Donatella written about and contributed to books on training and development, but she has also been involved in supervising and tutoring university thesis at the faculty of Educational Research at Bicocca.  Since 2015, she has been a faculty member of EFMD with head offices in Brussels where she carries out the role of EQUIS – EPAS accreditation officer at the International Business School.
